Susan Faykus,

Susan Faykus is the chief executive officer of Faykus Broughton LLC. She leads the team’s mission while providing comprehensive wealth management advice and services to entrepreneurs and families of substantial wealth. Susan’s vision and commitment drives the firm to be a catalyst to engage today’s servant leaders and help them transform their success into significance. This shared vision permeates each advisor, employee, strategic and non-profit partner of the firm so that the client’s purpose and impact are at the heart of what they do.

Susan began her financial services career in 1987 with Waddell & Reed, focusing on wealth accumulation with a purpose. She has since funded and managed a private equity portfolio with concentrations in new technologies, biomedical advancement and other areas of innovation with an emphasis on companies with noteworthy and proven leadership. Susan opened and managed the Austin office of Integrated Financial Inc., where she served significant families of wealth, non-profits, entrepreneurs and closely-held business owners. Areas of service included: Investments, Estate and Gift Tax Planning, Business Succession Planning, Pre-liquidity Planning, Charitable Gift Planning, Family Governance and Education, Income Tax Planning Strategies, and Heir Development. She has also co-led Ark Financial as partner, where she expanded her experience to estate and gift tax planning, income tax planning, philanthropic endeavors and risk management.

Susan graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987 with a BA in Economics and Business Administration. She married her spiritual soulmate in 1988 and they live together on a farm/ranch outside of Austin, Texas. They have a son who attends Texas A&M and a daughter who plays basketball for Southwestern University. They have been active in the Taylor and Austin communities while attending Trinity Lutheran Church for over 20 years.

Adam Broughton has been serving affluent families, business owners and entrepreneurs for the past ten years. He is a noted speaker on a range of finance-related topics for local business and professional organizations. His expertise includes advanced estate and philanthropic planning, executive compensation & incentive stock options management strategies, risk and investment portfolio management, business exit planning as well as tax mitigation, legacy and lifetime income planning.

Adam’s experience before becoming a co-founder of Faykus Broughton, LLC includes operating as a solo practitioner in an independent firm, Planning Better Lives, as well as serving as a senior wealth manager with Sackett Financial Group in Brea, CA, Cetera Financial and Ameriprise Financial. In addition to serving as a financial adviser, he was the operations manager for an independent wealth management firm in Ontario, CA.

Adam has previously served as Education Committee Chair and Board Member for Orange County Advisors in Philanthropy. He graduated with a BA in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERProfessional. He is also the author of the book The Founder’s Guide to Business Succession: Making It Last When You Leave and a contributing author to the book So You Want to Be a Financial Planner (5th Edition) with Nancy Langdon Jones.

Adam and his wife, Amy, live in Bee Cave, TX where they enjoy exercising, exploring the Texas Hill Country, and seeking out the best Texas barbecue. They have three children and attend LifeAustin church.
